APK preparation and repair after a failed test in Tilburg

The APK is the Dutch equivalent of the MOT. We work through the same list of points the inspector uses, repair whatever is not in order and make sure your car passes first time. The inspection itself takes place at an RDW-approved test centre — we make sure you have nothing to fear there.

Car already failed?

Send a photo of the inspection report. We read the failure points, tell you what needs doing and what it will cost — before you bring the car in. Repairs happen here; the re-test at the station that failed it. Within two months of a failure only the failed point needs reassessing.

What we check

What we do not do — and why that works in your favour

We are not an RDW-approved test centre and therefore do not carry out the APK inspection ourselves. After our preparation your car goes to an approved centre for the official test.

That is not a detour but a safeguard: the party judging the car is not the party repairing it. You get an independent verdict on work we carried out.

How it works

Also after a failed inspection

Has your car already failed? Send us a photo of the inspection report via WhatsApp. We can see immediately which points are involved and give a quote before anything is replaced. We repair all common rejection points in our own workshop, including welding on load-bearing parts.

What we are and are not

We do this

  • Car on the lift and every inspection point checked
  • Brakes, suspension, lighting and tyres repaired
  • Welding on load-bearing parts
  • Warning lights read and resolved
  • A quote before work starts

We do not do this

  • Carry out the official APK — we hold no RDW approval
  • Issue a stamp or inspection report
  • Assess on behalf of the RDW

That is not a shortcoming but a separation of roles: whoever does the work does not assess it. If you have no station of your own, we will point you to an RDW-approved address in Tilburg.

From registration to inspection station

  1. Check the expiry date. Use the registration check on the homepage, or send us your plate.
  2. Book two to four weeks ahead. That leaves room to order a part without the date running out.
  3. We walk the points and report what will not pass, with a price.
  4. Repair after your approval.
  5. Inspection at an RDW-approved station.

Frequently asked questions

Do you carry out the APK inspection yourselves?

No. We handle the preparation and the repairs; the official inspection takes place at an RDW-approved test centre.

How long does an APK preparation take?

The check takes about an hour. If repairs come out of it, you hear in advance what is needed, what it costs and how long it takes.

When should I book the preparation?

Two to four weeks before the expiry date. You may have the car inspected up to two months early without losing those months.

What does it cost?

That depends on what your car needs. That is why we always quote first — call or message us for a quick estimate.
