Service calculator: indicative price by registration, including VAT

Enter your Dutch registration number. We fetch make, model, year, cylinders and power from the RDW and show how much oil your engine needs and which filters and spark plugs fit — with an indicative price per part. Choose what you need and ask via WhatsApp when you can come in. For each part you see what you pay: the oil filter with the part number for your engine code, the oil in litres to specification and the spark plugs per piece – you choose, without an account or a quote.

How the service calculator works

  1. Enter your Dutch registration, or without one choose your make, model, fuel and engine.
  2. You see how many litres of oil your engine needs, which specification the oil must meet and which filters and spark plugs belong to it, each with an indicative price.
  3. Choose a small service, a full service or tick the parts yourself. The total appears straight away at the bottom, including VAT.
  4. Send your choice via WhatsApp with two or three moments that suit you. We confirm your appointment within 1 working day.

From registration to engine: what we fetch from the RDW

With your registration we request make, model, type, year, engine capacity, power, fuel and your APK expiry date from the RDW open data. The RDW does not give an engine code. That is why we look up the engine in our own parts database that matches capacity, power and year. That engine comes with the oil capacity and the part numbers of the filters and spark plugs.

When the registration is not enough

Sometimes several engines match the same data. You then see a short list with capacity, power and years, with the price of a small service per engine, and you choose. If your engine is not in the list, we show an estimate based on a similar engine, and say so. No Dutch registration? Choose make, model, fuel and engine by hand. An electric car has no engine oil: you see the cabin filter and the brake fluid. In doubt? Send your registration via WhatsApp and we will look it up for you.

Which oil: viscosity and specification

Not every 5W-30 is the same. An engine has a viscosity and a specification, for example ACEA C3 or a carmaker standard. The specification decides whether the oil suits a particulate filter, a turbo and a long service interval. The calculator shows the litres and the specification for your engine; in the workshop we check them once more before the oil goes in.

Filters and spark plugs: part number per engine

For each filter you see the part number that belongs to your engine. If the original number is not in our range, we show an equivalent alternative and mark it as such. A fuel filter only appears if your car has a separate one; on many petrol engines it sits in the tank. Spark plugs only apply to petrol engines, and the number equals the number of cylinders. If a number is missing, it says “part no. via WhatsApp”.

How the price is built up

The total is an indication including VAT. If the final price differs by more than 10 % from the indication, we call you first.

Small service, full service or single parts

A small service is an oil change with a new oil filter. A full service is oil, oil filter and every filter your car has: air filter, cabin filter and, if your car has one, the fuel filter. Spark plugs and brake fluid are your own choice on top. The interval is in your car's service book; we work to the manufacturer's instructions, so your warranty stays intact.

Your registration, and then: an appointment via WhatsApp

Your registration only goes to the RDW and into the WhatsApp message you send yourself. We do not store it and it does not go into our statistics. You find us at Lovensestraat 10H in Tilburg, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00 and on Saturday from 09:00 to 13:00. We help you in Dutch, English and Polish.

Frequently asked questions

What does a car service at NRG in Tilburg cost?

That depends on your engine: how many litres of oil go in and which filters belong to it. Enter your registration and you see the indicative price including VAT. The labour for an oil change is € 40 including VAT.

What is included in the € 40 oil change labour?

Draining the old oil, fitting a new oil filter, filling to the right level with oil to specification and resetting the service interval. The oil and the oil filter themselves come on top.

Why does the calculator sometimes ask me to choose my engine?

The RDW does not give an engine code. If several engines match capacity, power and year, you choose. For each engine you see the price of a small service, so you see the difference.

Which oil goes into my car?

Oil with the viscosity and specification that belong to your engine. The calculator shows both; in the workshop we check them once more.

Is the price from the calculator final?

No, it is an indication including VAT. You hear the final price before we start. If it differs by more than 10 %, we call you first.

What happens to my registration?

It only goes to the RDW open data and into the WhatsApp message you send yourself. We do not store it.
